The ohoya Heliostat is still completing FCC certification. We ship to the US once that certification is complete — expected H1 2027, an estimate rather than a committed date. Should certification not be granted, we refund your reservation fee in full.

Until shipment your reservation fee stays fully refundable at any time and is credited in full toward the final price. Refunds are returned to your original payment method within 14 days of your request — just email contact@ohoya.de.

FCC rules cover the device itself, not payments: your refund and cancellation rights come from our Terms of Reservation and applicable law.

The ohoya Heliostat Bundle combines the Heliostat Base with the Pro Module — for softer, more spread-out light thanks to the Smart Diffusion Mirror, plus permanently unlocked premium features of the app. The Bundle is the complete ohoya system for everyone who doesn't want to compromise.

What is a heliostat?

A heliostat is a sun-tracking mirror system. The ohoya Heliostat combines this millennia-old principle with modern sensing and fully local control: it reflects real sunlight and redirects it precisely to any spot you choose — no bundling, no heat concentration, just natural, full-spectrum daylight. No manual adjustment, no cloud, no account required.

Privacy by design

The ohoya Heliostat has no camera — none at all. Setup and target selection are done conveniently via augmented reality in the smartphone app; the device itself works fully locally. An additional thermal sensor sits on the front of the device. No video stream, no cloud, no data leaves the device.

• Not a toy — keep out of reach of children.
• Moving parts: do not reach into the mechanism during operation — pinch hazard at the motors.
• Reflected sunlight: do not look directly into the reflected light beam. Brief glare can occur under unfavourable alignment.
• Electrical safety: operate only with a specified 15 V USB-C PD power adapter (power supply not included). Do not open, puncture, or expose the LiFePO4 battery to heat.
• Weather resistance (IP65): suitable for permanent outdoor use, but not for underwater use or explosive atmospheres.

What am I buying with the Founders Reservation?
You are booking a reservation, not yet a heliostat. The fee is fully credited toward the later purchase or refunded anytime on request.

Is this already a purchase contract?
No. A purchase contract is only formed when you actively buy at series launch.

What happens to the €99?
The fee is credited 100% toward the later purchase price. If you change your mind, you get it back.

When will it ship?
We ship once certification is complete. We are planning for the first half of 2027 — an estimate, not a committed date. As the product is in its pre-series phase, that point may move; your reservation fee stays fully refundable at any time up to shipment.

What is included in the Bundle?
The Bundle comprises the ohoya Heliostat Base and the Pro Module — with the Smart Diffusion Mirror for soft, steplessly adjustable area light and the permanent unlocking of all premium features of the app (including unlimited targets and schedules; voice control via Alexa, with Apple Home & Google Home in preparation).

Do I need a cloud or an account?
No. Control runs fully locally — no forced cloud, no account, and no internet connection in normal operation. Initial setup (app pairing) needs an internet connection once.
